Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers

Is a mandatory maritime security course designed to ensure that all seafarers have a basic understanding of shipboard security in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

The course focuses on raising awareness of maritime security threats and the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining ship security. Training covers recognition of security risks and suspicious activities, basic security procedures, reporting requirements, and actions to be taken during security incidents. Emphasis is placed on vigilance, cooperation, and effective communication with security personnel. Upon completion, trainees are better prepared to support shipboard security measures and contribute to the protection of the vessel, crew, passengers, and cargo in compliance with international maritime security standards.
