Elementary First Aid

is a basic safety training course designed to provide seafarers with essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies on board. The course covers fundamental first aid principles, including assessment of casualties, basic life support, control of bleeding, treatment of wounds and burns, management of fractures, shock, and other common onboard injuries.

Participants learn how to take immediate and appropriate action in the event of an accident or sudden illness until professional medical assistance is available. Emphasis is placed on safe practices, use of first aid equipment, and maintaining the wellbeing of crew members. Upon completion, trainees are capable of providing prompt and effective first aid care in accordance with international maritime safety standards.
