Maritime English

Is a specialized training course designed to improve the English language skills of seafarers for effective communication in the maritime industry. The course focuses on the use of English in shipboard operations, navigation, safety, and emergency situations.

Training includes Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP), bridge and engine-room communication, radio communications, and interaction with port authorities, pilots, and multinational crews. Emphasis is placed on clear pronunciation, correct terminology, and effective listening and speaking skills to reduce the risk of misunderstandings. Upon completion, trainees are better equipped to communicate confidently and accurately in English, contributing to safer and more efficient maritime operations in accordance with international standards.
