Personal Survival Techniques

Is a mandatory maritime safety training course designed to equip seafarers with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to survive at sea in the event of an emergency. The course focuses on personal safety, survival at sea, and the correct use of lifesaving appliances.

Training includes emergency situations such as abandoning ship, use of lifejackets and immersion suits, survival craft boarding procedures, and survival techniques in the water. Participants also learn about distress signals, hypothermia prevention, and actions to be taken while awaiting rescue. Upon completion, trainees are capable of responding effectively to emergency situations, enhancing their chances of survival and contributing to overall shipboard safety in accordance with international maritime standards.
