Ship Security Officer

Is a maritime security training course designed for officers designated to be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of shipboard security in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

The course provides comprehensive knowledge of maritime security threats, risk assessment, and ship security management. Training covers the duties and responsibilities of the Ship Security Officer, development and implementation of the Ship Security Plan, access control, monitoring of restricted areas, handling of security incidents, drills and exercises, and coordination with the Company Security Officer (CSO) and Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO). Upon completion, trainees are qualified to ensure effective security measures on board, protecting the ship, crew, passengers, and cargo in compliance with international maritime security regulations.
